Abby Mitchum
HairI am an established hair stylist from our very own competitive city, Austin. I have been practicing hair for 10 years and with a background in art and math, the trade came as second nature. I attended Baldwin Beauty School and before graduating, I started my extensive chemical specialist training with Toni&Guy. I have traveled the country, getting trained and certified in all areas of the field. I have been certified by Crew for men’s hair cutting, Aquage for advanced styling & photo shoot techniques, and Brazilian Blowout for their famous smoothing technique to name a few. Being a part of fashion shows, fundraisers, competitive photo shoots and fashion week are just added fun when contributing to my experience. I stay as progressive as possible, always learning the new trends, styles and techniques to keep my clients modern.

HairI recently relocated to Lakeway from the Houston Heights! I was born and raised in the Heights, and spent every summer vacationing here in Lake Travis. My love for the area started young! I took the plunge and made the move to one of my favorite vacation destinations so here I am!
I have been a Hairstylist now for 12 years and LOVE what I do every single day. I trained @ The Paul Mitchell School and have had countless additional trainings through the years to continue my education and feed my passion. I’m a color expert and love taking each guest I have and customizing their color wants and needs into a beautiful and polished end result. Whether it be wild and fun or calm and sophisticated, I have you covered. I absolutely love completing your entire look with a custom haircut as well, and giving you a look you can create on a daily basis. Communication is key to a great hair style as well as listening, and understanding a guests wants and needs. It is my pleasure to consult with you so together we can create a look you will love. Your beauty, health and well-being are my top priority!
When I’m not transforming hair, I live bring outdoors at the Lake with my family and my dogs! I’m an avid sports fan and will watch just about anything! I also LOVE to cook!!!
I look forward to meeting all of my new friends and neighbors here in Lakeway and I’m so happy to call Spa at the Lake my new home!

BodyI’ve been in Lakeway since May of 2007, having moved here from southern Louisiana. Helping athletes at the World of Tennis, I began developing my skills as a deep tissue practitioner. I have a strong, healing and sympathetic touch; treating each client uniquely and paying attention to details. I am absolutely passionate about the wellbeing of my customers and consider many of them to be like family. My style of massage truly varies among patron’s personal needs, though I consider my work to be both deeply therapeutic as well as invigorating. I enjoy using a combination of both analytical and eastern techniques, shiatsu being a strong subject for my independent study.
When not at work, I enjoy cozying up with my husband Chris and my bulldog Spud.

Steve Thompson Body

BodyMy training and energy is applied to relaxation and chronic pain relief massage to benefit my clients so that they can feel better and live in less pain. I often recommend a 90-minute session beginning with an orthopedic approach using trigger point, myofascial release and muscle energy techniques to address specific pain symptoms and transition to deep tissue or swedish massage to integrate a full body experience. Whether you are here just to melt into relaxation, address pain, or both, I encourage you to share your desires so we can set our session goals to meet your specific needs.

I joined Spa at the Lake in 2007 where I specialize in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial, Trigger Point and Pre-Natal Massage. When I’m not happily massaging my wonderful clients here at Spa at the Lake, I am at home with my husband and a house full of pets, spending my time painting, quilting or just as often, learning new massage techniques.
